Review

Vị Quê kitchen is easy to be spotted by a big beautiful villa next to it on a busy expensive street Suong Nguyet Anh. The restaurant has an interesting interior design – curved walls with a wavy bamboo woven ceiling and simple wooden furniture on the main theme of grey. The décor is inspired by a harmonious achievement of inspired countryside style and modern urban life. The restaurant was not that spacious but upstairs they have more space to serve customers. The staff was very attentive and professional. We ordered a lot of food. We had Diep rolls and Northern-style spring rolls for appetizers. The veggie filling of Diep rolls was fresh and delightful, served well with sweet-sour sauce. The spring rolls taste delicious - crispy rice wrapping with a nutritional filling of different mushrooms and vermicelli, fit perfectly with sweet-sour sauce. Next, we had popular Vietnamese pancake and Northern-style stew. The pancake was outstanding – crispy savoury crepe stuffed with sprouts, carrots, mushrooms and mashed green been. The Northern-styled stew resembles the taste pretty well of the vegan version; however, we would expect the texture to be thicker.

Which elements impress us?

We like Vị Quê kitchen’s design mix - inspired countryside style and modern touch of cosy ambience. The staff is hospitality and professional, which adds a huge point to our satisfaction towards the deliciousness of inspired Vietnamese styled dishes.

Which elements could be improved?

Everything was perfect, but we think they were a bit overpriced for the same quality we had at other places.
