"Ivoire is a French word, meaning "Ivory color". It's the color of eggs, flours, sugar,.. the most basic ingredients in baking. Baking with me is like an art. A delicious cake is like precious picture, the overall look must be beautiful and simple, but to create it extremely complicated." -chef and co-founder Kasey Doan-

Ivoire has a signature design of a modern patisserie which is conveniently located in a quiet District 1 area. The interior provides a minimal vibe with the pastel pink tone. The display case shows a refined range of different exquisite pastries that you would ever crave. We both had a thing for pistachio, so we ordered the pistachio flavoured one. The cake was well-presented and exceptionally good; the level of sweetness was just enough, the layers were delicately smooth, and of course, there was a rich flavour of pistachio. As for pandan coconut croissant, we find it interesting because it reminds us of the popular Vietnamese dessert that we loved to eat when we were kids. Indeed, it was a perfect croissant that has golden brown colour on the outside, a crunchy top and a puffy texture. Overall, we were really happy with our desserts.
Pistachio (Pistachio Ganache Montee, House Made Pistachio Praline, Lime Curd, Coconut Mousse, Pistachio Soft Sponge and Pistachio Creme)
Pandan coconut croissant (baked twice, coconut pandan frangipane, topped with loads of coconut slides)
We loved Ivoire’s kitchen settings, where everything was beautifully organized and aesthetically pleasing. The shop has two ranges of pastries – sweet and puffy ones with the top favourite flavours. The cake presentation and quality are exceptionally good, and just like us, you would love to be their loyal customers.
The shop has a narrowed space, so we think it is better to take away. However, it could be a nice spot for a short casual hang out. Other than that, we were pretty satisfied.
