Review
Bông Súng is a lovely vegetarian restaurant located on a busy street in district 3. It appears quite hidden due to the cover of the next building; thus, we had to pay attention to the sign on the left side of the road so we did not miss the restaurant. The restaurant has a feminine interior design with a highlight of turquoise furniture, creating a perfect ambience for colleagues and casual hanging out. The space is quite narrowed but they have another dining area upstairs. The staff was not that attentive but well managed the order during rush hours. Regarding the food, the oyster mushroom and green apple salad dish was okay as it missed certain elements that make the dish complete. Diep rolls were classic with a lot of delicious veggie stuffings, served with sweet and sour sauce. Deep-fried oyster mushroom dish melted our junk-food heart with its crispy texture. Fried rice stuff in pineapple was well-presented, mixed with chopped tofu, cashew nuts and raisins in an actual pineapple; it was tasty and a good company with curb bean stuff with mushroom dish. The bean curb - a popular ingredient among Vietnamese vegetarians was well seasoned in a savoury sauce. Overall, the food and service were matched with an affordable price range.

Which elements impress us?
We liked Bông Súng's cozy ambiance with elegant interior design regardless of its narrowed space. The distinctive menu consists of different Vietnamese inspired cuisine and nutritious ingredients. The food was especially delicious and healthily seasoned. We gave a plus for the portion; it was indeed a lot of food.
Which elements could be improved?
The salad dish could have had a better harmony if it added certain herbs or made the sauce taste stronger. The bean curb dish was quite oily so we expected it to have better alternatives. Other than that, we were happy with the food and service.
