Ten minutes from the centre of Can Tho, Azerai Can Tho is the perfect spot to unwind and relax. Natural beauty, relaxing sounds, and aromas are all part of the experience at the resort, which is located in a unique ecosystem. The Mekong Delta's gentle air and warm sun create a setting that extends one's horizons and provides a sense of tranquillity. The resort offers seclusion and privacy on a campus that is lush with greenery and mature banyan trees. Only 2.5 hours’ drive from Ho Chi Minh City, the resort is only a few minutes from the city of Can Tho.

We escaped the city for our birthday celebration in Azerai Can Tho - a minimalist luxury retreat located on a private islet with access to the cultural experiences and expansive landscape of Vietnam’s Mekong Delta. We were amazed by the resort’s beautifully natural design elements, from rattan and local woods to the long-stemmed lotus flower. The soaring lobby opens up to the open-air lounge and bar, which serves snacks and cocktails throughout the day. The heart of the Azerai is its sleek 32-meter pool, surrounded by lounge chairs that overlook a lotus pond and a grove of banyan trees. We booked different accommodations, including a garden room, lake room and one-bedroom pool villa. The interior design gave us a zen-feel of cool with a touch of minimalism, while the large daybeds in each room offered serene views of the lake. We also spent a day at the private pool in the villa, where we saw a cute monkey climbing on the roof. As we had different meals throughout the day at the resort restaurant, we loved its cozy ambience and extensive food and drink menu, which serves a lot of vegetarian options.

Azerai Can Tho is a perfect getaway destination for people who love nature and peaceful travel experiences. Apart from the natural exterior and gorgeously minimal interior design, we discovered breathtaking paths full of bushy bamboo trees while biking around the trails surrounding the property. We also really liked the cozy ambience and the vegetarian-friendly menu at the resort restaurant.
